MrBeast Addresses Allegations of Misconduct and Promises Changes at YouTube

MrBeast has stated that a “full investigation”will be conducted and changes will be made to his renowned YouTube enterprise, as per a leaked email.

In July, allegations surfaced that Ava Kris Tyson, a longtime friend and employee of MrBeast, was engaged in inappropriate conversations with fans who were minors.

Just a few days later, she announced her departure from the company. Shortly after, the internet was met with a response from Donaldson himself, who promised to look into the “disgusting”situation.

In early August 2024, an internal email was leaked, causing doubt among many as to whether it truly originated from the YouTuber’s production company. However, The Associated Press verified its authenticity on August 9, revealing that it entails more than just a basic investigation.

“To my fellow Team Beast members,”the message begins. “I wanted to provide an update on the ongoing concerns that have surfaced on the internet and in the media. As previously mentioned in my tweet a fortnight ago, we have retained the services of Quinn Emanual, a reputable law firm, to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations made against Ava Tyson.”

“In addition, we requested for them to broaden their investigation to encompass a comprehensive evaluation of our internal culture and to look into claims of misconduct by individuals within our organization. Although the investigation is still ongoing, I have received enough initial findings to make some changes, which I am announcing today.”

MrBeast also declared their dedication to creating a “more inclusive”atmosphere and implementing mandatory training sessions on safety, sexual harassment, and other important topics in addition to the ongoing investigation.

The YouTube production company has enlisted the help of an external firm to evaluate their current policies. Additionally, they are providing employees with the option to share their opinions about the company anonymously.

Despite the leaked memo potentially providing some fans with hope, the situation took a turn when a former employee of MrBeast revealed that the YouTuber was aware of hiring a registered sex offender.

His ex then proceeded to post a series of cryptic messages that seemed to label him as a “weirdo”.
