MrBeast Removes AI Artist Job Post Following Popular Fan Backlash

A job listing on LinkedIn posted on September 27 by MrBeast, aimed at hiring an AI Concept Artist, faced immediate backlash and was deleted on September 29.

Criticism emerged rapidly after the listing was discovered. One X/Twitter user highlighted the post, saying, “Hey MrBeast, go f**k yourself, dude. Maybe prioritize a real artist who needs a job over investing in someone to input prompts into a generator. Unbelievable.”

On September 28, the job title was changed to Thumbnail Concept Artist, yet references to AI remained, stating:

“We’re looking for a creative and experienced Thumbnail Concept Artist who understands the YouTube landscape and can assist in transforming video ideas into quickly generated thumbnail concepts. You will be tasked with developing ideas for various video concepts provided to you, using tools like AI to streamline and enhance the creative process. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who is a team player and continuously strives for improvement.”

As of now, the job vacancy no longer appears among other openings on MrBeast’s LinkedIn page, and attempts to access the application directly yield a “Page not found” error.

Regardless of the reason for the removal, the negative perception surrounding the MrBeast brand has intensified in 2024. On September 27, a staff member from the Beast Games production team in Las Vegas reportedly received threats of termination.

Additional crew members previously criticized production conditions as “unprofessional.” Moreover, on September 16, a complaint was filed by contestants in the Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging “chronic mistreatment” during the filming of the reality series.
