In a recent episode of Theo Von’s podcast, renowned YouTube personality Jimmy “MrBeast”Donaldson shared an amusing anecdote about his encounter with tech billionaire Elon Musk. The conversation left both fans and casual listeners amused and slightly puzzled.
MrBeast, who has openly expressed admiration for Musk, has kept a lighthearted Twitter interaction with the Tesla CEO pinned to his profile for the past two years. This interaction came to light following Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, which has since rebranded to X.
Elon Musk’s First Remarks to MrBeast: A Question About X
During the podcast discussion, MrBeast recounted their unexpected meeting at the Super Bowl. He revealed that Musk initiated the conversation by asking whether he thought people still referred to X as Twitter. “I told him, ‘Yeah, most people still call it Twitter,’ and he replied, ‘Interesting,’” MrBeast noted.

The snippet of their conversation quickly gained traction on social media, sparking a wave of memes that humorously illustrated Musk’s inquisitive nature about the rebranding of Twitter.

Even though both MrBeast and Musk are influential figures in their fields, MrBeast humbly dismissed a comparison between them. During the chat, MrBeast reflected on why he hasn’t collaborated with Musk, stating, “He’s pushing the boundaries with space exploration and electric vehicles, while I’m focused on creating entertaining videos.”
MrBeast’s fascinating approach to content creation has not only garnered him the title of the most-subscribed creator on YouTube but has also landed him his own game show on Amazon, premiering in December 2024.
