MrBeast Unveils His Perfect Location for $15 Million Beast Games Venue

In a recent interview, MrBeast disclosed that while he constructed the $15 million Beast City in Toronto for his hit competition show Beast Games, he had a different location in mind for an “ideal world.”

Since its launch in December 2024, Beast Games on Prime Video has quickly gained immense popularity. Within hours of its premiere, it became the most-watched show across 82 countries, and by the midpoint of its season, it earned the title of Prime’s leading unscripted series.

The Concept Behind Beast Games

Beast Games transformed 1, 000 applicants into fierce competitors aiming for a chance to win a staggering $5 million. Each episode featured a barrage of challenges, presenting contestants with the tempting option to accept million-dollar bribes from MrBeast or risk elimination for the grand prize.

MrBeast’s Construction Choices

Despite investing significant funds into building Beast City, which included residences, a cafe, and a basketball court, MrBeast expressed a preference for a different setting. He noted in a behind-the-scenes clip that ideally, the city would have been constructed back in Greenville, North Carolina, where his operations are based.

“Obviously in an ideal world, I would have built the city back in Greenville, [North Carolina], ” MrBeast said during filming.“Because we put, whatever, I don’t remember the exact number, somewhere between $10 to $15M into building that city. And, in 30 days it’ll be torn down.”

Space Requirements for Filming

MrBeast highlighted the necessity for expansive filming space, claiming that Beast City exceeded the combined area of set locations for popular shows like American Ninja Warrior, Wipeout, and Jeopardy. Ultimately, the hangars at Downsview Airport in North York, Canada, emerged as the only viable location for his ambitious production.

“It really is, probably like, the only place in the planet we could have filmed this, ” he stated.“It’s like they built that airport for us, really. It could not be better for us, so good.”

Despite pouring millions into the set, MrBeast and his team faced the bittersweet task of dismantling it after just 30 days of filming. Nevertheless, the unprecedented success of Beast Games has only amplified MrBeast’s standing as a significant cultural figure, further enhancing his reputation in the entertainment realm.
