Amid the ongoing backlash against MrBeast, his ex-girlfriend Maddy Spidell has published some cryptic posts on social media seemingly criticizing her “weirdo”former boyfriend.
Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson is facing criticism from various angles after accusations emerged that he had knowingly employed a registered sex offender on his team. Additionally, allegations have been made against his previous collaborator, Ava Kris Tyson, for inappropriate behavior towards underage fans.
On August 8, 2024, Maddy Spidell, the ex-girlfriend of YouTube star, spoke out about her experience dating Donaldson. However, it should be noted that she chose not to mention any specific names.
Instead, Spidell encouraged YouTube to reconsider the content creators featured on the trending page and shared a personal experience from a past relationship as a warning for other young women.
“My intention is not to bring anyone down. I simply want to make it clear that there are dangerous individuals in this world who will harm and manipulate you, leaving you to deal with the aftermath and placing the blame on you,”she wrote in a message on her Instagram stories.
“It is our collective responsibility to safeguard our loved ones, including our friends, mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, and most importantly, ourselves, from individuals like that.”
In the hours after Spidell’s posts, she released a second statement on Twitter/X to address the criticism surrounding the lack of clarity in her initial statements.
After three years of being away from that strange person, my skin has cleared up and my relationships and friendships are thriving. I am now able to enjoy life, feeling carefree and happy. Despite some people saying that I am vague and have not said much, it seems that I do not need to explain myself. I have no intention of going through that difficult situation again, but I appreciate the concern.

Their relationship began in June 2019 when Spidell was featured in one of his Instagram posts. The post has since been deleted, but it showed them watching a PewDiePie video together.
In 2020, MrBeast pleasantly shocked Spidell by gifting them a house adorned with 100,000 roses as a grand display of his love, which can still be viewed in the video at present.
The two eventually went their separate ways in 2022. Fans have noticed her most recent post on Twitter/X and are speculating that it may be about her well-known ex-boyfriend from the internet.
Despite not officially naming him as the “weirdo”she wrote about in her tweet, fans are still making connections and accusing MrBeast as more accusations are thrown his way.
