Popular YouTuber MrBeast has opened up about his recent eye troubles, which he attributes to persistent online criticism regarding his lack of eye-based expressions. This feedback ultimately prompted him to seek a medical evaluation.

MrBeast Discusses Eye Problems Affecting His Smile

Responding to a question on social media platform X, MrBeast acknowledged the numerous remarks about his eye expressions and revealed how this led him to get his eyesight checked. He disclosed that he now uses contact lenses following the examination.

“I get this comment a lot, and it’s why I got my eyes examined,” MrBeast detailed in a post, explaining that the results showed he has severe astigmatism and that his vision is quite poor.

Astigmatism occurs when there are inconsistencies in the curvature of the cornea or lens, resulting in an egg-shaped eye which can lead to blurred vision at all distances. MrBeast elaborated, “Without contacts, I can’t see unless I’m squinting, and that’s why my eyes used to look off in photos when I smiled.”

He expressed gratitude to those who highlighted this aspect of his appearance, stating that their observations helped him recognize that “objects far away are not supposed to be blurry.”

In addition to managing his eye health, MrBeast is actively engaged in creating content for YouTube and is also developing a new project called “Beast Games.”This reality series is expected to feature the largest prize pool ever for a show of its kind, with participation from over 1,000 contestants.
