Eivor, the Wolf-Kissed, is a newly introduced Naya Commander in Universes Beyond: Assassin’s Creed. This card possesses immense combat abilities and reinforces the dominance of the red, green, and white color combination as the preferred Saga option.
The Universe Beyond: Assassin’s Creed has always been known for its iconic characters, and the newest addition, Valhalla, is no exception. This Viking RPG is filled with intense action, a significant departure from the stealthy beginnings of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. However, it is a daring and well-loved direction for the series.
Eivor, the main character of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, is well portrayed on this card with their Norse heritage and formidable combat skills.
Eivor, Wolf-Kissed has a Commander cost of 3 RGW. Although this may seem expensive, its impressive 7/6 stats, along with Trample and Haste abilities, make it an immediate and formidable threat once it enters the battlefield.
Eivor is not content with simply commanding from a distance; instead, they thrive in battle, consistently striking at their opponents. Whenever this card deals combat damage to an opponent, that player must mill the same number of cards. Then, the controller of the card may choose to put a Saga or Land card from the milled cards onto the battlefield without paying its cost.
Investing in combat buffs for this card is worthwhile, as it expands the range of cards available for milling.
Having an additional Land enter the board every turn is certainly beneficial, but the true appeal lies in being able to cast a potentially expensive Saga for no cost. Sagas have gained widespread popularity since their introduction in the Dominaria set of 2018, and have continued to appear in various prominent sets since then.
Universes Beyond sets have seen a notable influx of sagas, effectively capturing the essence of intricate franchises through well-suited card effects. The latest addition, Assassin’s Creed, continues this trend by featuring various fresh sagas, including The Revelations of Ezio, to enhance Eivor’s gameplay.
