Despite performing an advanced Saint-ranked healing magic called Shine-Healing after losing his arm, Rudeus was unable to regrow the entire severed limb. He was aware that his healing abilities were not strong enough to achieve the impossible. However, this did not mean that he would be left with only his right arm for the rest of his life.

In the continuation of the original light novel series, which takes place after the current anime, Rudeus uses Orsted’s King Class Healing to regrow his arm. It is revealed that during their second encounter, Orsted also caused Rudeus to lose his right arm, but with Orsted’s assistance, Rudeus was able to regain both of his limbs.

Although this happens later on in the plot, he is given a prosthetic left hand that not only assists him in battle, but also proves useful for everyday tasks. The hand is ingeniously crafted by Zanoba and Cliff, who repurpose Zariff’s Prosthetic Arm that was left behind by the previous owner of Rudeus’ house.

As they constructed the artificial arm, Zanoba and Cliff incorporated stones salvaged from the Manalite Hydra, giving it the same power to nullify magic attacks as seen in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 episode 22.

In order for Zariff’s prosthetic arm to be activated, Rudeus must recite the phrase “Oh Earth, become thine Arm.”To deactivate it, he recites “Oh Arm, return to Earth.”This new equipment provides Rudeus with a significant advantage on the battlefield. Not only can it nullify magic attacks, but it can also immobilize physical attacks such as Zanoba’s Miko Power: Super Strength and be used as a flying Rocket Punch.

Despite eventually regrowing his arms, Rudeus continues to utilize the equipment as gauntlets for each arm, providing him with an advantage in battle. However, the gauntlets are eventually replaced by the Black Magic Armor, an even more powerful version of the equipment.
