When it comes to highly precise assault rifles that are user-friendly, players of Modern Warfare 3 frequently rely on the MCW. However, this underappreciated MW2 gun surpasses it completely.
Despite its slower time-to-kill, the MCW remains a highly sought-after choice among players in MW3. This is due to its exceptional user-friendliness compared to other assault rifles in the current meta, with minimal recoil and a rapid rate of fire.
Despite the M13B being a stronger weapon in almost every way, the MW2 AR has gone largely overlooked and has not been the preferred option in this role for some time. According to WZRanked, only 0.23% of players use it in multiplayer.
The MCW has a slower time-to-kill of 334 ms compared to the M13B’s 284 ms, making it a highly effective assault rifle. In comparison, the top-performing BP50 and SVA 545 have only marginally faster TTKs of 280 ms and 274 ms respectively, while all other assault rifles in MW3 have slower TTKs up to a distance of 30 meters.
For those playing Modern Warfare 3, the most recommended M13B loadout is as follows:
- Muzzle: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider
- Laser: 1mW Quick Fire Laser
- Optic: JAK Glassless Optic
- Underbarrel: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop
- Ammunition: 5.56 Overpressured +P
Despite the unconventional attachments used in this build, there is a purpose behind it. Since the M13B is a weapon from MW2, its lack of useful barrel, stock, and rear grip attachments restricts the options for a viable loadout. Therefore, the suggested loadout is the most effective choice.
Despite its limitations, the M13B remains a hyper-accurate and fast-killing assault rifle that remains competitive at extreme ranges. Unlike most other MW2 weapons, the AR’s visual recoil is not as pronounced, although it is still more noticeable than on any MW3 assault rifle.
Despite the M13B’s lack of popularity in multiplayer, Warzone players have found success with the MW2 gun after its buffs in Season 3 Reloaded. It remains to be seen if this success will carry over to Modern Warfare 3, but the statistics indicate that it is a valuable weapon to use.
