MW3 could reintroduce this iconic mode at the request of players

After high demand from fans about the return of an iconic Call of Duty mode, one developer has hinted that it could soon be happening on MW3.

Modern Warfare 3 offers a multitude of game modes, with new additions regularly. Season 2 Reloaded introduced Prime and Juggermosh, following modes like Vortex in previous updates.

However, many modes loved by fans are still missing. But recently, a MW3 developer subtly teased the return of an iconic mode, which quickly made players react.

During the Reddit post, user Eng11sh asked the community: “If you could bring anything from previous Call of Duty back into MW3, what would it be?”

For his part, this player chose Capture the Flag mode, last seen in Season 5 of MW2.

“For me it would be Capture the Flag. I really miss this mode and think it would be a lot of fun to play on MW3.”

Hours later, an anonymous developer from Sledgehammer Games responded to this post with the ‘eyes’ emoji, insinuating that CTF mode could soon be added to Modern Warfare 3.

Many players were excited to hear that Capture the Flag might return, while some suggested other modes they’d like to see added in a future update.

“Demolition is the best game mode ever, no idea why they removed it,” said another fan, before another added: “Grind and Sabotage game modes… I still dream of playing Sabotage on Bog in COD4.”

Although the developer hasn’t given any hints as to when Capture the Flag will arrive in Modern Warfare 3, it appears that this mode will be coming to the game sooner or later.
