MW3 Developers Plan to Buff COR-45 After Severe Nerfing

MW3 Developers Plan to Buff COR-45 After Severe Nerfing

The MW3 Season 5 update dealt a significant nerf to the COR-45 Pistol, rendering it almost useless in multiplayer. However, following widespread criticism from the community, the developers have announced that they are considering ways to improve its performance.

In contrast to Warzone, where it is possible to carry two primary weapons, players in MW3 often choose to use a secondary weapon in order to save a Perk slot. While some players prefer the agility provided by Melee weapons like the Karambit, the COR-45 Pistol remains the preferred choice for many.

Nevertheless, during Season 5, the developers implemented a significant decrease in its fire rate, along with two of the most popular attachments that make it an effective choice.

The initial fire rate of 375rpm was decreased to 240rpm. At the same time, the XRK v6 Match and XRK v21 Heavy Match Trigger Actions, known for increasing fire rate, were also reduced to 264rpm and 272rpm from their previous rates of 438 and 545.

Despite the community’s negative reception, the COR-45 changes were implemented. Many felt that the weapon had been severely weakened and was now unusable. However, a Sledgehammer Games developer reassured players on Reddit that a buff would be implemented in the future.

The message from the developer confirmed that they had received the feedback and had implemented some improvements to the fire rate of the COR-45. These changes are expected to be released in the near future.

Despite not revealing specific details, it was comforting for players to hear that the issue would be addressed and changes would be implemented. However, there were still some players who remained frustrated with the initial nerf.

“Thank goodness. This situation is completely pointless now. The cor has been severely weakened without any justification,”stated one comment, followed by another saying, “Even after four consecutive nerfs, they still couldn’t see that it was a problem to have it fire slower than the revolver?”

Although the exact date is not known, the COR-45’s fire rate is expected to be increased before the Season 5 Reloaded update on August 21. This update will also introduce the new Spear and Torque 35 weapons.
