The update for Modern Warfare 3 on May 8 includes numerous bug fixes for Weapon Prestige camos, as well as adjustments for Ranked Play and other enhancements.
A week ago, Season 3 Reloaded was released, providing players with plenty of new content to enjoy, including Weapon Prestige camos, new maps, and more.
The recent MW3 update has effectively resolved the problems that players have been experiencing with these camos since the game’s release. Additionally, Ranked Play has been refreshed with additional limitations.

Multiplayer
Stability
- Resolved a potential crash that may have occurred when completing a Challenge.
UI/UX Design
- Bug Fixes
- Hardcore Quick Play will no longer display an erroneous Free Trial tag.
- Weekly Challenge countdown timer will no longer display an invalid time as the Midseason update approaches.
- Fixed overlapping weapon images on the HUD when two Melee weapons are equipped.
Progression
- The prerequisite for Weapon Prestige Camos to reach the maximum weapon level is now consistently enforced, as originally intended.
- It is no longer necessary to regain at least 50% of Stim usage to progress through challenges.
- Players who had previously acquired the Binary Morality Event Camo can now once again equip it.
Maps
- Skidgrow
- Added collision to prevent players from reaching an exploitable location on the Roof.
Modes
- Escort
- Resolved an issue causing poor performance and lack of functionality upon joining a match.
- Lights on the MAW will no longer appear to detach as the match progresses.
- Implemented various fixes for match timer inconsistencies.
- Care Package crates are now destroyed upon collision with the MAW.
Perks
- Commando Gloves
- Reloads are no longer canceled upon moving when the Automatic Tactical Sprint setting is enabled.
Equipment
- In Hardcore game modes, the minimap will be visible on the HUD when an enemy is being tracked by an EMD device.
Ranked Play
- The Scratch 20-L Suppressor Attachment was restricted.
- Limited the use of EMD Mine Equipment.
- Limited the use of the Enhanced Vision Goggles Field Upgrade.
Zombies
UIX (User Interface Design)
- Upon successful completion of the Calling Card Prestige 9 Mastery Challenge, the appropriate title, “Let ‘Em Have It!”will now be visible.
- Addressed an issue in which post-Armory Unlocks and event splash notifications were displaying as blank.
Gameplay
- Dark Aether Rift
- All squads can now contribute Zombie kills to the Relic Attunement.
- Decreased kill requirement to complete Relic Attunement.
- Fixed a bug that resulted in the final obelisk being activated earlier than intended, breaking the story sequence.
- Resolved an issue where the reload behavior would not consistently occur after using Pack-a-Punch with the JAK Wardens Conversion Kit attached to the Lockwood Mk2.
- Addressed an issue where Wonder Weapons were incorrectly displaying as common gray rarity instead of gold in a Dark Aether Rift.
- Fixed a glitch that caused players to become trapped in out-of-bounds areas after being grabbed by a Mimic.
- Resolved an issue at Rainmaker’s Fortress where Mortar AI incorrectly targeted players with an intact Sergeant’s Beret disguise.
Progress
- Fixed a problem where finishing the Attunement of one squad would prematurely terminate the Attunement of another squad.
- The Launcher Camo Challenges for MWII weapons have been modified to make it easier to complete them.
