Many Modern Warfare 3 players have come together to award the title of the worst map in the game, and their choice will certainly surprise you.
The launch of Modern Warfare 3 saw the franchise step back in time with the return of beloved maps from the original MW2. As with all CoD, seasons and post-launch updates have continued to expand this selection.
MW3 Season 2 Update Reloaded notably saw the return of the popular Das Haus. But with so many cards available, one was chosen as the worst by players.
Reddit user ‘ DisasterOD ‘ posted a post saying that Rust is the worst of all the maps in the Moshpit Small Maps playlist: “Unpopular opinion: Rust is the absolute trash map in SMM.”

Many have agreed with this player and explained why they think this is the case. One user wrote: “The weirdest thing is that despite its size, you still find yourself spawning next to enemies.” Many in the comments have listed spawn as the main reason they think it’s a bad map.
Others said it shouldn’t be in the small card category, as it’s one of the biggest of the lot in MW3: “What makes it bad is the illusion that it It’s a small map, so you think you can fight in close combat. When the reality is that it has long lines of sight that make movement impossible.”
Another fan said: “It just doesn’t fit small maps, but it’s ok for normal multiplayer.”
However, not everyone agreed, as many said they found it fun: “It’s still a small and fun card in my opinion, it just requires more brain activity than the others, which can being boring when the moshpit is essentially made for the opposite.”
