MW3 players are angry that Shipment is “stupidly dark”

Modern Warfare 3 players are clearly tired of the spotlight on one of the game’s most well-known maps, Shipment.

Shipment first appeared in Call of Duty in 2007 with CoD 4, before returning in the majority of other games in the franchise since.

Despite its small size, this map has undergone several changes and adjustments intended to be updates for each new installment in which it appears.

However, this new version for MW3 is clearly not the community’s favorite, mainly due to the lighting causing many shadow areas.

MW3 players are unhappy with Shipment lighting

The community recently spoke out on the game’s subreddit in a post titled: “Please put the fucking of sunshine on Shipment”.

The body of the post expanded on this sentiment, saying: “But every time I try to level up my weapons on Shipment, I can’t. What a joke, so many dark corners where dark skin goes unnoticed until it’s too late. Just put on some light.”

Many comments agreed with this player, with many feeling that the shadows on this MW3 map cause a lot of visibility issues.

“The map is so stupidly dark that I have to turn up the brightness of my screen, making everything super washed out.”

“I generally enjoy Shipment, but with the darkness and horrible spawns, I can’t get used to it this time.”

Many users pointed to other versions of this map from previous games that they felt were significantly better, although not everyone can agree on a specific version.

For example, many players felt that the MW2019 version of the map “was the best,” while another said they liked every version except that one.

Shipment has been around long enough to be loved by a good portion of the community, and every time a new version of something beloved is created, there are bound to be complaints.
