MW3 Players Believe That Classic MW2 Maps Have Been Removed from Multiplayer

Many players of Modern Warfare 3 have noticed that some of the most controversial maps in the game seem to have gone missing, as they have been unable to find a game on those maps for quite some time.

Upon the initial announcement of Modern Warfare 3, it was confirmed that the multiplayer aspect would closely resemble that of the original Modern Warfare 2. This news brought joy to many fans who were excited to revisit popular maps such as Skidrow, Terminal, Quarry, and Favela, while also experiencing new virtual battlegrounds.

Despite the initial excitement, the past few months have not been as seamless as certain fans may have anticipated.

Many fans have expressed dissatisfaction with some of the most well-known maps in CoD history, such as Terminal, stating that they no longer have the same gameplay experience as before and that revisiting them is not worth the nostalgia.

Many fans have raised concerns about the absence of certain maps, such as Wasteland and Derail, from the game’s current map rotations. These maps seem to have disappeared and are no longer available for gameplay.

Ever since its release, I have been a dedicated player of MW3. However, I recently realized that it has been quite some time since I last played on maps such as Wasteland, Underpass, Mercado Las Almas, and Crown Raceway, as pointed out by fellow Redditor SatanicGeek on June 17.

“According to one player, wasteland still appears occasionally in SnD and very rarely in underpass, but both Mercado and Raceway have vanished. Another player chimed in, mentioning that wasteland, underpass, and four other maps have not been seen in months.”

Wasteland is an OG MW2 map, but some MW3 fans don’t love it.

Despite claims from one fan that Wasteland had been ‘removed’ by the developers, it is still available in the map rotation.

Several players encouraged the developers to create a playlist featuring only classic maps from MW2, as well as one including maps from Modern Warfare 3.

There are sufficient maps included in the new game to make this a reality, however, the issue of maps being removed from the game is simply not occurring. They are simply not being selected for play in certain lobbies.
