Many Modern Warfare 3 players have recently called MW2’s Rundown map the most “useless”in Call of Duty history.
The release of Modern Warfare 3 in late 2023 saw the return of all the original maps from 2009’s MW2, which we’ve grown to love for their nostalgia over the years.
However, despite this return to the past, the game has been the subject of much criticism since its launch for various reasons including SBMM , frustrating spawns and the omnipresence of infamous bugs.
And now, players have decided to lash out at the maps, calling one of them the most pointless and uninspiring in the history of Call of Duty.
MW3 players call Rundown map the most “useless” in CoD
In a Reddit thread posted on January 23, a player started a discussion targeting Rundown, naming it one of the worst maps. “Rundown should just go, far, far away,” he wrote.
“Rundown is probably the most pointless, pointless map in the history of CoD maps, I absolutely can’t stand it, the layout is terrible, and the colors mean you can’t see anything.”

In the responses to this post, many agreed and expressed their own frustrations.
“It completely punishes anyone trying to play an objective on the map by having the worst objective points I’ve ever seen on a CoD map,” says one fan. “Yeah, this card is shit,” wrote another.
Others have claimed that the problem is that almost everything can be climbed in MW3, and it’s not just Rundown that’s the problem.
“I don’t remember hating her in the original. I think the problem with a lot of maps is the fact that you can now climb almost everything now,” explains one player.
Despite all these complaints, it’s unlikely we’ll see any significant changes to this map in the future. But, maybe the developers could make some adjustments to satisfy the community.
