MW3 Players Criticize Garbage BlackCell Skins That Continue to Decline in Quality

Some Modern Warfare 3 players have expressed their dissatisfaction with the “garbage”BlackCell skins in-game, stating that the quality has been declining in the past few seasons.

Just like numerous other multiplayer games, Call of Duty has increasingly focused on the cosmetics and microtransactions aspect in recent years. This has resulted in the introduction of unique character skins, blueprint designs, and collaborations with popular culture.

The growing availability of items for purchase has occasionally frustrated players, as many argue that it distracts the developers from addressing various issues in the game.

With the start of every season, a fresh collection of BlackCell cosmetics is introduced, a tradition that has been in place since Modern Warfare 2 through the premium battle pass. However, players have been displeased with the increasing cost of the battle pass and the decrease in quality of the cosmetics, such as skins for grenades.

“Despite one’s personal opinion of BlackCell, Redditor JoeyAKangaroo expressed disappointment with its recent decline. They specifically pointed out that skins have become repetitive and unoriginal, resembling mere “black and gold reskins”of existing options. This complaint came on the eve of the MW3 and Warzone Season 5 update.”

Redditor JayFranMar also pointed out the same issue. They questioned, “Can BlackCell please move away from the overused Black and Gold aesthetic? It tends to ruin a lot of the skins,”as seen in their post on the ModernWarfareIII subreddit.

Another fan chimed in, expressing their relief that the skins continue to maintain their laziness. They added that this ensures they never have to struggle with the decision to purchase them. Yet another fan agreed, stating that the skins have always been subpar and criticizing the black and gold design as tacky.

Additional players expressed their desire for more diversity in the skins, particularly in the black and gold design, and encouraged the developers to incorporate hints of orange in Black Ops 6.

There is a possibility of changes being made with a new game, but if you are hoping for any changes in the near future, you will be disappointed.
