MW3 Players Demand Return of More MW2 Maps

MW3 ‘s variety of maps from previous games has fans thinking about which ones they’d like to see return, including some from the early years of CoD.

Part of the big marketing push around MW3 was the return of the iconic 16 maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, significantly updated to match the current generation.

On the other hand, another big selling point was the Carry Forward system, allowing players to transfer their cosmetics and weapons from MW2 to the newer game. This concept also applies to the map pool, as a separate playlist allows players to compete on last year’s maps in MW3.

But with the recent return of Dome this season, players are hoping that the developers will bring back other iconic maps from the franchise.

CoD players want these maps to return in future seasons of MW3

In a post shared on the game’s subreddit, a player started the discussion by asking the developers to bring back DRC – Zone 1 from MW2 from 2022 as a priority.

“In my opinion, this was the best original map from MW2 that should return if they already bring back Farm 18, Las Almas, etc.,” the player added.

DRC – Zone 1 debuted in Season 5 of MW2, as a small arena near Building 21 of DMZ. With the number of camouflages and challenges to overcome, another small map would certainly be welcomed by fans.

Another player shared their love for this card: “It came too late to get the love it deserved. Quick and well designed map. 9/10.”

However, as with any discussion of this type, players’ ideas were varied on what they would like to see. In response to a player requesting the return of all OG cards, one player said: “So what else. Give us ALL the cards. From CoD 1 to MW3.”

Other ideas were a little more realistic, with players expressing their wish to see 2019 MW maps like Hackney Yard return. Conversely, a few players want maps from the original MW3, which this game is missing aside from Dome, which many associate with last year’s title.
