MW3 Players Praise Season 2’s “New Best Map”

Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 introduced several new maps to the game, but quickly players agreed on which one was the best, and it might surprise you.

Modern Warfare 3 fans were spoiled with the launch of Season 2 as plenty of new content to explore was released to the game. This major refresh brought a new Battle Pass, new weapons, new modes, and more importantly, new maps.

With MW3 carrying over every map from MW2 2009 upon launch, players have expressed their desire to experience more original maps. And their wish was granted as Season 2 introduced Stash House, Vista and Departures as new 6v6 maps.

Now that the hype has died down a bit, the MW3 community has recently expressed their satisfaction with these new maps, even going so far as to call them “some of the best maps”in recent Call of Duty games.

The Reddit post below explains that these new maps give MW3 “its own identity.”

However, when the question of choosing the best new map of Season 2 came up, players were quickly split on their favorite choice, but most agreed that the popular Stash House wasn’t in the top spot.

One player in the comments summed up these new additions, placing Vista and Departures above Stash House: “Vista and Departures are phenomenal, I’ve been asking for cards designed this way for years. Stash House is okay, but it’s just another card to grind camos.”

The original Reddit post initially praised Departures as its new favorite map of Season 2: “This map is executed to PERFECTION. It’s a sister board to the classic Terminal, and it’s as beautiful as it is well designed.”

While Stash House is by no means a hated card among players, most agree that it doesn’t offer much beyond being “another great card to advance your camos and weapons when you’ve had enough of Shipment, Meat or Rust.”
