Modern Warfare 3 players recently praised developers Sledgehammer for the return of the iconic red dot reticle.

Modern Warfare 3’s Season 2 Reloaded update finally launched on March 6, introducing several new maps and weapons to the FPS. This update marked the return of Vanguard’s Das Haus map, as well as variants of Terminal and Skidrow. However, it was the return of a weapon accessory that attracted all the attention.

Continuing the goal of taking players back to the origins of CoD, the classic red dot sight from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has finally been added to Modern Warfare 3.

Although it’s a fairly simple reticle, it’s fair to say that players have been excited by the return of the classic red dot sight.

In a Reddit thread on March 8, many players praised the developers for returning this accessory to the game for the first time since 2020’s Black Ops Cold War. “Thank you SHG for adding the classic red dot from COD “, wrote one player. In replies to the post, others echoed this sentiment, thanking the developers for the return of the “beautiful” aiming accessory.

“It’s magnificent,” one player simply wrote. “There’s nothing better than using the M4 with a classic red dot sight in this game,” said another.

However, some have expressed their frustrations, noting that the red dot reticle is not available on all weapons. “This scope is not available on some weapons! It sucks,” they said.

Additionally, the red dot sight does not change depending on the weapon’s camouflage, unlike other scopes. Nonetheless, players are still excited that he finally made his return to CoD after years.
