Some players believe that the Snipers Only mode in MW3 has been ruined due to the discovery of a “cheat code”that allows the use of shotguns.
The second update for Modern Warfare 3, Season 2, included Snipers Only, a game mode which encourages players to use quickscoping to win in Team Deathmatch and Domination matches.
The main focus of this mode, as implied by its name, is the restriction of all guns except for Sniper Rifles. Additionally, players are not allowed to use their Tactical and Lethal Equipment.
Additionally, a new attachment introduced in Season 5 allows players to slightly manipulate the rules in their favor. A member of the MW3 subreddit shared their observation that the “MORS AMP acts as a cheat code specifically for snipers.”
The JAK Widemouth Barrel serves as a Conversion Kit for MORS sniper rifles, effectively converting the long-range weapon into a formidable close-range threat.
In simpler terms, the sniper rifle, which was already a formidable weapon, has now been equipped with aftermarket parts that allow it to transform into a shotgun. Despite this modification, the gun is still categorized as a sniper and is therefore allowed in Snipers Only games.

A different individual asserted to have participated in a game where one of the players was constantly taking out all opponents with this particular version of the rifle.
Some other Call of Duty players observed that the issue had arisen in the past and was promptly addressed, but unfortunately, the cheat reappeared after only a few days.
However, there are also those who believe that the Longbow being usable in the MW3 mode is just one of the many issues that Snipers Only is facing. One frustrated user even expressed their thoughts, stating, “I don’t understand how such a straightforward and effortless game mode could be messed up like this.”
As of this moment, the developers of Modern Warfare 3 have not yet announced if they are actively working on a permanent solution for the shotgun exploit.
