The release of Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 Reloaded, the highly anticipated update for multiplayer, is just around the corner. But when can we expect it to arrive?
The Season 5 update brought a significant amount of new content, including weapons such as the STG44 and Static-HV, as well as a Battle Pass with a WWE theme. However, there are still many exciting additions to come with the upcoming mid-season patch.
MW3 Season 5 Reloaded Release Date
The Classified Sector of the Battle Pass indicates that the Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 Reloaded update is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, according to the in-game timer.
While the devs have not yet officially confirmed this date, all previous mid-season updates have been linked to Classified Sector. Therefore, we anticipate this to be the case once again. However, as plans are subject to change, the patch may be released earlier or later. We will provide an update in this section once more information becomes available.
New Weapons in MW3 Season 5 Reloaded
The mid-season update introduces players to two new unlockable weapons: the Spear and Torque 35. One of these weapons is the Spear, a melee weapon that can be obtained by completing challenges listed in the Classified BP Sector mentioned earlier.
According to the Season 5 blog, the addition of Three Spears in multiplayer will provide a unique experience. Each spawn will have three Spears available, which can be thrown quickly and accurately with the help of a reticle for varying distances. Players will be able to retrieve the thrown Spears from the environment, and it is recommended to keep at least one for the weapon’s effective close-quarters piercing strikes.
The Torque 35 is the second new addition, boasting a “compound bow with 20 retrievable arrows”and a built-in red dot sight. As expected, pulling the trigger increases the power of each shot and there are various unique types of ammunition to try out.
If you are able to aim your shots accurately, both of these new weapons have the ability to pin enemies to a wall, potentially creating opportunities for creative plays.
New game modes
Fish Infection
In MW3 Season 5 Reloaded, three exciting game modes will be introduced, one of which is Fishfection. This unique version of Infection equips players with the new Spear and Torque 35, as they attempt to survive against an increasingly powerful horde of fish Operators with each fallen player.
Paintball
In Paintball, traditional weapons are substituted with paint guns, which have the ability to kill instantly with one shot. Additionally, players are granted enhanced mobility as they compete on compact maps in popular game modes such as Kill Confirmed and Capture the Flag.
Defuse or Destroy
While Search and Destroy is a well-known mode in Call of Duty, Defuse or Destroy brings an added level of unpredictability. In this mode, one of the two bomb sites is already planted at the beginning of each round, forcing players to make a quick decision between attempting a defuse or protecting the remaining site.
Zombies in Season 5 Reloaded
Final Story Mission and New Dark Aether Rift
Season 5 Reloaded marks the culmination of Operation Deadbolt in MWZ, with the long-awaited final story mission finally released. While details are scarce, the developers have hinted at an exhilarating experience involving the use of Aetherium launch pads to evade the swarms of undead on the ground.
This will result in a grand finale with an epic boss fight, which grants the initial item necessary for entering the next Dark Aether Rift.
Schematics
Additionally, players of Zombies can anticipate the arrival of three fresh Schematics that will aid them in their fight against swarms of the living dead.
