In Warzone Season 5, a seemingly insignificant buff has proven to be the most significant change in the entire update. This has caused a previously underestimated shotgun to now hold the title of the fastest killing weapon in the game.
As is customary for major patches, Season 5 brought about changes to the power levels of different weapons. One such change was made to the Reclaimer 18, with its patch notes stating, “Resolved a problem that caused varying amounts of damage to enemies in both fire modes.”
In actuality, this statement has a much greater impact than originally anticipated. The Reclaimer 18 underwent a significant overhaul to its damage capabilities, with its semi-auto function now capable of defeating enemies in only two shots. This translates to a TTK of just 300 ms, a fact that has been tested and verified by renowned shotgun specialist Goomie in a video.
The Tac-Stance build is the most recommended loadout to use with the Reclaimer 18, as it has proven to be the most deadly weapon in Call of Duty’s battle royale. Make sure to utilize this build for maximum effectiveness.
- Muzzle: Bryson Choke
- Barrel: Ironbrand Long Barrel
- Stock: No Stock
- Underbarrel: Bruen Bastion Angled Grip
- Rear Grip: Haste XV Grip Tape
The Reclaimer 18 is at its best when built around Tactical Stance to maximize its mobility.
It is worth noting that the Reclaimer 18’s time-to-kill (TTK) has been adjusted to be the same in both Warzone and multiplayer. In both modes, it now takes two shots to eliminate an enemy when using the shotgun’s semi-automatic mode.
This inconsistency implies that the buff was not meant to function in this manner, and the excessively rapid TTK that has ensued is most likely a glitch. As a result, a solution will likely be implemented at some point in the future, although it is uncertain when this will occur.
Of course, Warzone players will be eager to test out the formidable version of the SPAS-12 before it undergoes any potential changes. However, it is important to remember that it is still a shotgun, meaning it is most effective in close quarters combat within approximately 10 meters. Beyond that distance, popular SMGs will have the advantage over the Reclaimer 18.
