MW3 & Warzone players criticize Season 5 Reloaded as “worst update ever”

The latest update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 5 Reloaded has arrived, but many players have been disappointed by the limited amount of new content and inadequate adjustments to weapon balance.

The main highlights of the mid-season update included the Torque 35 bow, Spear Melee weapon, and new and returning game modes such as Supreme Resurgence. Although the new bow has been well-received by players, the removal of popular modes and the absence of new multiplayer maps, meta weapons, and significant balance changes have resulted in disappointment.

ModernWarzone, a news account, inquired about players’ thoughts on the new season. In response, one person tweeted, “What did they even do?”

One reply stated, “Not very interesting, hardly any substance.”Another responded, “There’s practically nothing here aside from the Zombies cutscene.”

“SilentVQ expressed disappointment with the recent update, stating that there were no new 6v6 maps and the addition of a bow and spear that were underwhelming.”

“Streamer TheTacticalBrit expressed their disappointment with the current state of the game, stating that they will not be satisfied until Black Ops 6 is released. Despite the addition of a bow to the game, the Warzone meta remains unchanged with players using the same ARs and SMGs. The lack of variety in gameplay has left TheTacticalBrit questioning where the enjoyment lies.”

Despite receiving significant nerfs in the update, the STG44 and Static-HV remain top-tier weapons in the game and the overall meta has not seen much change.

IceManIsaac, another streamer, criticized the current meta for being “horribly stale/boring”due to insignificant updates that only alter the damage range of a few random guns by 4 meters.

On Reddit, the main topics of discussion have revolved around the problematic forced texture streaming, resulting in significant lag and packet loss, as well as the removal of the solos mode in Warzone Resurgence, which has been described as “torture”by many.

Anticipate a few meta updates in the upcoming weeks, however, there will be no fresh content until the release of Season 6 in September. In the meantime, you can participate in the Black Ops 6 betas beginning on August 30 and continue to advance in the Battle Pass while playing.
