On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, MBS premiered two trailers for the highly anticipated My Dress-Up Darling live-action series. These trailers showcase both the opening and ending theme songs featured in the show, performed by Chō Tokimeki Sendenbu and the Japanese rock band PEDRO, respectively.
Previously, the announcement of the live-action adaptation of the My Dress-Up Darling anime included a confirmed release date of October 2024, along with the casting details for the lead roles of Kitagawa Marin and Wakana Gojo. Following this, MBS also revealed a promotional poster and additional cast members for supporting characters.
My Dress-Up Darling Live-Action Series Reveals New Trailers
On September 25, 2024, MBS released two trailers for the My Dress-Up Darling live-action series. Though both trailers are identical in visuals, they highlight different theme songs from the show.
The first trailer features the opening theme titled “Princess Hero“, which is performed by Chō Tokimeki Sendenbu.
The second trailer showcases the ending theme song, “Lovely Baby“, performed by the rock band PEDRO.
This promotional video introduces audiences to the live-action personas of Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo. In the series, Marin is portrayed as a model passionate about cosplay, while Gojo is depicted as a high school student with a love for crafting Hina dolls.
Despite their contrasting appearances, destiny brings Marin and Gojo together, as Marin seeks Gojo’s assistance in creating costumes for her cosplay endeavors. This collaboration fosters a close relationship between the two characters.
My Dress-Up Darling Live-Action Series Posters and Cast Reveal
In addition to the trailers, MBS has recently unveiled a striking poster visual and introduced new cast members for the live-action series. The poster features Marin Kitagawa lying playfully in a doll box with her feet in the air, while Wakana Gojo is shown seated with his back leaning against the box.
The newly announced cast members for the live-action adaptation include:
- Akana Ikeda as Sajuna Inui
- Kokoro Toyoshima as Shinju Inui
- Daichi Shiozaki as Chitose Amano
- Meikyo Yamada as Kaoru Gojo
With just a few weeks remaining until the premiere of the live-action series, fans can look forward to more updates from MBS. The show is set to debut on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
