My Happy Marriage is a beloved historical romance anime that premiered in 2023. The story centers around Miyo Saimori, who, despite being born into a noble family, faces numerous challenges following the death of her mother. Her father arranges for her to wed Kiyoka Kudo, a military captain from a prestigious lineage.
Given Kiyoka’s reputation for being harsh, Miyo fears that her future will be filled with difficulties. However, to her surprise, a joyous life awaits her instead. This heartwarming tale has won over many viewers and was quickly renewed for a second season, set to debut in January 2025. In the meantime, fans can look forward to a special episode.
This OVA was released in Japan as part of the Blu-ray collection for Season 1 in March 2024. Dubbed Episode 13, titled “Watashi no Shiawase no Katachi” (The Shape of My Happiness), it continues the story from the end of the first season.

Netflix Anime announced on Twitter/X, “The day of the party has finally arrived! All eyes are on Miyo, but Kiyoka has someone he wants her to meet… My Happy Marriage returns with a special release, Episode 13 (OVA), coming to Netflix on November 22!”
It’s been over a year since the conclusion of the first season, and fans are elated to have this special episode to enjoy ahead of Season 2. One enthusiastic viewer exclaimed, “OMG I thought this day would never come and does this mean it’s getting dubbed too?!?!”
