On Monday, September 23, 2024, Netflix released the official trailer and key visual for My Happy Marriage season 2. This exciting promotional video also introduced fans to three new characters along with their respective voice actors. The highly anticipated anime is set to premiere in January 2025.
The popular series has a manga adaptation by Rito Kohsaka and an anime adaptation crafted by Kinema Citrus. Following the success of the first season, which aired from July to September 2023, fans are eagerly awaiting the second season debut in January 2025.
My Happy Marriage Season 2: Key Visual and Trailer Revealed
Netflix unveiled the trailer and key visual for My Happy Marriage season 2 on September 23, 2024, confirming a January 2025 release date for the upcoming season.
The new key visual highlights Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudou beneath a beautiful cherry blossom tree, showcasing Miyo in a lovely kimono adorned with a cherry blossom pattern. Her joyful expression contrasts with Kiyoka’s affectionate gaze towards her.
The official trailer begins with Miyo Saimori running towards a cherry blossom tree, followed by Kiyoka’s apologies and a heartfelt declaration of love. The trailer also teases plot developments, including an invitation from Tadakiyo Kudo, Kiyoka’s father and the previous head of the Kudo family, for Kiyoka and Miyo to visit their family home. This visit marks Miyo’s first meeting with Fuyu Kudo, Kiyoka’s mother.
While Fuyu initially presents a harsh demeanor towards Miyo’s appearance, Miyo is determined to fulfill her role in the family. The trailer concludes with the debut of Naoshi Usui, whose intentions remain unclear, but he intriguingly refers to Miyo as his daughter.
As Season 2 introduces three new characters, their voice cast has also been confirmed.
Ryoutarou Okiayu voices Tadakiyo Kudo, who embodies a gentle personality and expresses eagerness for his son’s marriage to Miyo. Okiayu has previously lent his voice to characters like Gadjah in Black Clover, Byakuya Kuchiki in Bleach, and Kizaru in One Piece.
Kikuko Inoue provides the voice for Fuyu Kudo, whose cold nature intimidates those around her. Inoue is recognized for her work as Mirellia Q. Melromarc in The Rising of the Shield Hero, Shūko Komi in Komi Can’t Communicate, and Minerva Orland in Fairy Tail.
Finally, Yūya Uchida will voice Naoshi Usui, the founder of the “Gifted Communion,” a faction with plans to challenge societal norms. Uchida’s impressive resume includes roles such as Charlotte Perospero in One Piece, Hendrickson in The Seven Deadly Sins, and Shun Shin Kun in Kingdom.
