My Hero Academia Chapter 425 Hints at Survival of Major Character

In the second chapter of the epilogue, Chapter 425 of My Hero Academia suggests that a major antagonist may have survived the Final War.

The aftermath of the largest battle in My Hero Academia has been shrouded in mystery. While the majority of the heroes have survived, the fate of several others remains uncertain. However, the final panel of Chapter 425 may provide insight into the outcome of at least one of them.

After a grueling battle with his eldest son during the war, Endeavor is depicted at the conclusion of the chapter inside a scientific facility. Despite being heavily injured and confined to a wheelchair, he gazes intently at a massive tank that bears a striking resemblance to a bacta pod.

It is intriguing to note that there seems to be an individual inside the tank. The shading strongly suggests a human presence, yet does not definitively reveal their identity. However, many My Hero Academia fans are convinced that the person inside the bacta pod is Dabi, also known as Touya Todoroki.

One of the key factors contributing to this conclusion is the lack of information surrounding Dabi’s fate. Despite sustaining severe injuries during his final confrontation with the Todoroki family, the manga never explicitly confirmed his death, leaving it open to interpretation for readers.

Despite this, My Hero Academia rarely kills off its characters. The series focuses on themes of hope and positivity, emphasizing the importance of second chances. Therefore, it is fitting that Dabi is given another opportunity to make amends and reunite with his family.

This theory gains even more credibility when considering that Chapter 425 hints at Shigaraki’s comeback, following the confirmation of his fate in Chapter 424. At least, that is the belief held by fans.

The likelihood of Dabi’s survival is significant, particularly because My Hero Academia is expected to have a lengthy epilogue before the conclusion of the manga. Therefore, fans’ speculations are not entirely baseless. However, the truth behind Dabi’s identity will only be unveiled when the manga resumes after its hiatus.
