In My Hero Academia chapter 425, Yuga Aoyama departed from U.A. High School and was replaced by Hitoshi Shinso in Class 2A. The class planned a farewell party for Aoyama, which was attended by all students as per tradition.

Despite his determination to attend the farewell party, Shoto made it clear that he could only do so if it was not on the same day. While it is understandable for someone to decline a party invitation due to personal reasons, it appeared that Shoto was in a rush to distance himself from the other students.

It was clear from the way he smiled at Deku and interrupted him to reassure him that he was doing fine. Based on the sequence of events, it appeared that Deku was planning to ask Shoto about his well-being, potentially because he had learned some behind-the-scenes information about the Todoroki family. However, until the manga reveals this information, it remains unconfirmed. Therefore, fans can only speculate that Deku had something significant to discuss with Shoto.

Despite this, Shoto Todoroki interrupted Deku and quickly left, appearing to have a sudden change in expression in the following manga panel. This indicated that Shoto may have been putting on a front while claiming to be fine. Although the manga does not disclose Shoto’s intentions, it is likely that it involves his older brother, Toya Todoroki.

Despite his severe injuries sustained during his fight against Shoto, Dabi’s fate was a source of speculation among fans who believed he may have perished in the battle. However, it has been revealed that he is still alive and possibly receiving medical assistance. This development hints at a potential focus on Shoto’s brother, Toya Todoroki, in his upcoming character arc.

Despite the insignificance, the fact that Shoto chose to walk away from Deku could be a sign of him following a darker path. This is a common device used in manga to foreshadow a character’s development. Therefore, it is important for fans to pay attention to Shoto’s actions in the upcoming epilogue chapters.
