Despite Toga’s reputation as a notorious criminal, Ochako saw past her actions and recognized the sad and ostracized girl within. With unwavering patience and determination, she empathized with Toga and worked to bring an end to her destructive rampage. It was a challenging journey, but Ochako’s understanding and compassion ultimately triumphed.
Despite Toga’s selfless sacrifice for the young hero during the war, her death has not yet been officially confirmed. However, My Hero Academia Chapter 428 heavily implies her demise. Ochako is still struggling to come to terms with this fact, especially since she is the only one who knows about Toga’s sacrifice.

After forcing a smile since waking up after the war, Ochako finally breaks down alone on a hill. However, Deku soon discovers her. This is where the chapter leaves off, leaving readers disappointed as they were anticipating an emotional moment and maybe even a long-awaited declaration of love between the two.
“One user on X/Twitter commented, “What do you mean it ends there???!!!”and another added, “We can’t handle these cliffhangers with only a few chapters left.”
“What? The chapter can’t just end like this. There must be more to the story. Deku, this is your chance to step up and comfort Ochako with a hug and a kiss. She was there for you before, so now it’s your turn to return the favor,”a third person expressed.
A fourth person added, “I’ve been eagerly anticipating this for years and now I’m left with a cliffhanger, Hori, I’ll get you for this.”
Despite being frustrated by the cliffhanger, fans may find solace in knowing that the next chapter, Chapter 429, is the second-to-last chapter of the manga and is sure to include important scenes.
