My Hero Academia Creator’s Ending Message Sparks Shared Reaction

After the conclusion of the My Hero Academia manga, creator Kohei Horikoshi has a message for his readers, and fans have one resounding response.

Following ten years of serialization, Chapter 430 marked the conclusion of My Hero Academia. With the final chapter, we were given a peek into the fates of Deku and the rest of Class 1-A, as well as some intriguing revelations about other individuals.

After the conclusion of the manga, Horikoshi took to X/Twitter to express his gratitude to readers for their support over the past ten years. In his heartfelt message, the author announced the end of My Hero Academia in this week’s issue of Jump. Despite facing many obstacles, he was determined to see it through until the very end.

The memory of competing alongside numerous fascinating manga in the prestigious Jump magazine will always hold a special place in my heart. And most importantly, I will never forget the honor of having Deku chosen to stand alongside Luffy, even if it was only for a brief period and perhaps by chance.

The mangaka emphasized, “Despite the passage of time, Deku and the others continue to appear in the comics, the anime is still being broadcast, the movie is still being released, the game is still being played, the spin-off manga is still being published, and there are numerous events and individuals that are keeping My Hero Academia alive. Therefore, it does not feel like the end at all.”

Ultimately, he urged readers to keep showing their support for My Hero Academia by using the series’ iconic catchphrase: “Plus Ultra!”

Despite the My Hero Academia manga coming to an end, Horikoshi has stated that the anime show is continuing with its seventh season and still has a strong following. Additionally, in August, the franchise released its fourth anime movie – My Hero Academia: You’re Next.

Fans not only admire the mangaka’s work, but also express concern for his well-being. Numerous supporters have taken to social media to encourage him to take a much-needed break, particularly given his past struggles with health problems during the serialization of his manga.

One user on Reddit commented, “It’s about time for him to have a well-deserved break,”which was supported by another user who said, “Hori definitely needs and deserves a lengthy rest.”

A third person added, “Even though I wasn’t a fan of the ending, I have tremendous respect for Horikoshi. Creating weekly or biweekly releases is a task that most people would struggle with, and he deserves credit for it.”

One person also commented, “Despite the underwhelming ending, the individual still put in a lot of great effort and should be given a break.”

Despite the conclusion of the manga, fans are still able to experience the My Hero Academia anime series and films.
