The episode concludes with a dramatic turn of events as Deku reaches the location of the sky coffin, setting the stage for the upcoming showdown between Deku and Shigaraki.

My Hero Academia: Season 7 Episode 12 – Edgeshot Attempts to Revive Bakugo as Shigaraki Gains a New Power
Season 7, Episode 12: Dabi’s Return and the Duplication of Shoto’s Phosphor
The latest episode of My Hero Academia, season 7 episode 12, opens with Deku hurrying to the Coffin in the Sky location after the first OFA user, Yoichi, shares a warning about AFO’s increasing strength. Deku then notices a figure in the sky in the distance. The scene then transitions to the battle against Shigaraki, where Monoma and Aizawa witness Bakugo’s sudden collapse.
Upon examining Bakugo, Jeanist observes that he has no pulse and has sustained serious injuries to his heart. Togata ponders on how they can occupy Shigaraki, whom he views as a “monster”, until Deku arrives. As Shigaraki sets his sights on eliminating the remaining heroes, his growths ensnare Mirko, who is filled with regret for her earlier inability to neutralize him.
Shigaraki highlights the shortcomings of the pro heroes and emphasizes the importance of having young individuals like Bakugo at the forefront. He also acknowledges that casualties are an inevitable part of the fight.
As the Kamino site comes into view, Shoto, Iida, and the other heroes turn their attention to Dabi, who has returned with even more powerful firepower. He is now utilizing Shoto’s Phosphor, which he had previously copied before being hit by Shoto’s ice attack.
Dabi also reaches out to Skeptic, tasking him with furthering Re-Destro’s plans. Skeptic successfully hacks into UA’s systems, causing system errors on the Coffin in the Sky site. The episode briefly features the evacuees at UA’s shelter, where two suspicious villain spies are seen lurking among the crowd, possibly plotting something. The Todoroki family, including Rei, Natsuo, and Fuyumi, are also briefly shown.
My Hero Academia: AFO’s Growing Power and Edgeshot’s Rescue Mission
In the twelfth episode of season 7 of My Hero Academia, the attention turns to the Gunga Villa location where Endeavor, Hawks, and other heroes are present to witness AFO’s return, now in his rejuvenated and powerful state. Through a flashback, it is revealed that AFO and Dr. Garaki utilized Eri’s Rewind quirk to create a quirk-erasing drug, which was then enhanced to serve as a trump card in boosting AFO’s abilities.
After validating the Quirk Doomsday theory, AFO attacks the heroes in the present, taking a quirk from one of them. However, Hawks steps in to intervene. AFO clarifies that although his body will eventually deteriorate from rewinding, he plans to fulfill his ambitions through Shigaraki, his newly acquired vessel.
Hawks’ ultimate mission is to release Shigaraki from the Coffin in the Sky trap. In an effort to stall for time, Hawks engages in a conversation with AFO, probing his motives. AFO discloses his plan to annihilate the world’s future as the Demon Lord, while Endeavor continues his battle.
In episode 12 of season 7 of My Hero Academia, the attention shifts to the United States, where the President acknowledges Shigaraki as a significant danger and contemplates collaborating with him until a solution is found to neutralize him. However, Timothy Agpar vehemently opposes this decision, stating that it goes against the vision that Star and Stripe fought for, as he looks at a photo of Cassie and All Might.
During the battle against Shigaraki, Jeanist tends to Bakugo’s injuries while Edgeshot puts his life on the line by using his quirk, Foldabody, to enter Bakugo’s body and heal his heart and lungs. The narrative delves into the mechanics of Edgeshot’s ability, explaining how his thin threads have the ability to stop severe bleeding and effectively treat Bakugo’s internal injuries. He promises to act as Bakugo’s heart and entrusts Jeanist and Mirko with holding off Shigaraki until Deku arrives.
Mirko and Togata successfully trap Shigaraki, causing him to reflect on his past and remember the fear he felt towards Bakugo. This recollection triggers a transformation in Shigaraki’s body, making him even more powerful.
Season 7 Episode 12: Shigaraki’s Transformation and Deku’s Arrival
In the final moments of My Hero Academia’s twelfth episode of season 7, Shigaraki, having transformed into his new state, effortlessly dominates the heroes and approaches Jeanist and Edgeshot to prevent them from reviving Bakugo, whom he declares to have eliminated. Despite their valiant attempts, Jeanist and Togata are unable to halt his progress.
Togata reflects on his memories with Sir Nighteye, feeling unsure about how to keep Shigaraki occupied. Mandalay gives them directions to divert Shigaraki’s attention for two seconds, allowing them to lower the barrier.
Despite having no other options, Togata boldly steps in front of Shigaraki. He recalls Nighteye’s advice to maintain a smile and proceeds to make an unexpected and comical gesture by revealing his “peaches”to Shigaraki.
During the fierce battle, Shigaraki is caught off guard by a sudden comedic maneuver. However, he quickly realizes that the barrier has been lifted, but it’s too late as Deku appears. The episode concludes with Deku launching an attack on Shigaraki, signaling the beginning of their showdown.
