My Hero Academia: Deku’s only hope to change the Hero Society could be Bakugo’s confession to the public

The My Hero Academia manga series is nearing its climax, with only a few chapters left to go. However, there is currently no information about a potential sequel or the author’s plans for concluding the series in these final chapters.

Despite everything else, there is one topic that fans are eager for the author to shed light on: the transformation of hero society by showing that villains were once just like them, unable to attain justice.

However, it may prove to be difficult as the previous chapter revealed that the people were unhappy about not being able to empathize with the antagonists.

Despite Deku’s dream of altering the Hero Society remaining unfulfilled, there is one crucial character who underwent significant transformations during the Final War – Bakugo. He relinquished his bullying ways and played a pivotal role in defeating the main antagonists of the series. As one of the few heroes who represent both sides, he holds great importance in instigating change within the Hero Society.

This article includes the author’s opinion and may contain spoilers from the My Hero Academia manga series.

Despite being one of the main protagonists of My Hero Academia, Katsuki Bakugo was initially portrayed as a bully who would taunt Deku for his lack of a quirk. However, when Deku eventually inherited One for All, Bakugo’s shock resulted in his bullying becoming even more intense than before.

The bullying persisted until the Dark Deku arc, during which Izuku shouldered all the responsibility and left the school. This realization caused Bakugo to feel guilty for his treatment of someone with such a kind heart.

After trapping Deku, Bakugo expressed remorse for his bullying behavior, which greatly influenced Deku’s decision to re-enroll at U.A. School.

Despite his past self, Bakugo had transformed into a much better person and joined Deku in training for the final war. Together, they entered the war as true heroes and gave their all in battle.

Sadly, Bakugo was involved in the midst of the final battle and, according to reports, perished when Tomura Shigaraki tore his heart apart.

With the assistance of Pro Hero Edgeshotm, Bakugo narrowly escaped death and arrived just in time to rescue All Might from All for One. Following an intense fight, Bakugo successfully defeated All for One, paving the way for Deku to emerge victorious in his battle against Shigaraki.

In the series’ epilogue, viewers were able to see a different aspect of the hero, who was saddened by Deku’s loss of his quirk. However, after receiving praise from All Might, Bakugo’s demeanor brightened and he displayed a genuine smile. As a result, Bakugo could be regarded as the hero who experienced the most emotional upheaval throughout the final battle.

He has personally felt the pain of being both a victim and an assailant. As of My Hero Academia chapter 427, there have been no indications of anyone attempting to reform the Hero Society. Nevertheless, this idea may be weighing on Deku’s mind and he may not have a solution for it.

Despite the citizens’ unwillingness to listen, Bakugo remains a crucial factor in bringing about significant change within the Hero Society of My Hero Academia.

After enduring a significant transformation during the final battle, Bakugo could potentially serve as a representative for the people, having firsthand experience of both being a victim and being rescued.

Similarly to Ochaco’s persuasive speech in support of Deku, Bakugo could also deliver a compelling address detailing his personal transformation. Such a speech could serve as a pivotal moment for the evolution of the hero society.
