Fans have voted for their preferred Quirk from My Hero Academia in the recent popularity poll, but to everyone’s surprise, it’s not One For All.
The My Hero Academia manga concluded on August 4, 2024, after a successful decade-long run. In honor of the manga’s finale, several projects were revealed, including a worldwide popularity poll called ‘World Best Hero’.
The poll, which began on August 5, is set to run until September 30. With two weeks already passed since the voting opened, the results are proving to be a mix of both anticipated and unexpected outcomes.
Despite the Quirk ranking poll being quite baffling, the top three spots have been consistently held by the main trio. However, the order in which they rank may come as a surprise. Shoto’s Half-Cold Half-Hot, coming in at number three, possesses immense power and is undoubtedly one of the strongest Quirks in My Hero Academia.

The true shock lies in the first and second rankings. In second place is Deku’s One For All, the Quirk he inherited from his role model All Might that can be passed down. And as expected, Bakugo’s Explosion claims the number one position.
Despite its immense power, Explosion stands no chance against One For All, making it quite strange. Deku’s Quirk not only grants him unmatched strength and speed, but also allows him to utilize the Quirks of the previous users.
This implies that the possessor of One For All is able to utilize numerous Quirks, including potent ones such as Gearshift and Fa Jin, as well as beneficial ones like Danger Sense and Black Whip.
Despite any potential impact on the results of the World Best Hero, Bakugo’s popularity remains undeniable as he currently holds the top spot in most polls and leads the global popularity rankings with a significant number of votes. It appears that he is on track to become the number one character after all.
