My Hero Academia: Kurogiri’s Entrance Sets Up Dabi vs. Endeavor in Season 7, Episode 15 as Toga Unleashes Twice’s Sad Man’s Parade

The latest installment of My Hero Academia, titled “Butterfly Effect,”aired on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 5:30 pm JST as the 15th episode of season 7. The episode follows Spinner as he successfully manages to release Kurogiri, resulting in a shift in the battle’s momentum in favor of the villains.

With Kurogiri now aligned with the League once again, he transports Dabi to the Gunga Villa location, preparing for the long-awaited confrontation between Dabi and Endeavor. At the same time, Toga utilizes Twice’s blood to unleash Sad Man’s Parade, the ultimate technique of Twice.

With the help of Kurogiri, she dispatches her body doubles to various battle locations. Seeking retribution for Twice’s death, she also utilizes Kurogiri’s warp to teleport to the Gunga Villa site, where her target is to defeat Hawks.

My Hero Academia season 7 episode 15: Spinner awakens Kurogiri as Shoji stops the heteromorph riot

The 15th episode of My Hero Academia’s 7th season opens with Spinner taking charge and leading the heteromorph rioters to the hospital in order to rescue Kurogiri. In a flashback, it is revealed that AFO had given Spinner a recorder with the voices of both himself and Shigaraki, with the instructions to use it to awaken Kurogiri. As the rioters make their way to the hospital, they witness the hospital staff bravely protecting the patients.

Upon witnessing this, their minds are drawn back to Shoji’s previous words, leading them to reassess their approach towards bringing about change. Eventually, Spinner arrives at Kurogiri’s room, convinced that he has finally accomplished something of significance. Yet, his realization of his followers’ desertion quickly dawns upon him.

Upon arriving, Present Mic informs Spinner that Shoji had successfully put an end to the rioters. The attack from Present Mic causes Spinner to stop and the recorder is destroyed, leaving him feeling disheartened.

A brief flashback depicts the events leading up to the present, illustrating how the heteromorph rioters eventually began to contemplate Shoji’s words. Shoji, also affected by their shift in attitude, assures them that their actions towards creating change will continue to spread and eventually yield results.

Despite the efforts of the PLF advisor to rile up the crowd once more, Shoji’s impactful words have already made an impact, effectively putting an end to the riot. With the situation now under control, the heroes redirect their attention towards halting Spinner’s actions.

In the present moment, Spinner is overwhelmed with the fear of failing and takes a moment to look back on his past experiences with the League and Shigaraki. As Present Mic prepares to launch another attack, Spinner makes a bold decision. He quickly runs to Kurogiri and firmly presses one of Shigaraki’s hands onto Kurogiri’s face, begging for his assistance in aiding Shigaraki and the rest of their comrades.

In season 7 episode 15 of My Hero Academia, Present Mic launches an urgent attack and desperately calls out Shirakumo’s name. As Spinner falls, Kurogiri regains consciousness and declares his unwavering loyalty to Shigaraki. He then uses his warp gates to assist the League members, joining them in the final battle.

The focus then moves to the United States, where a news anchor vehemently opposes their government’s contentious choice to align with Shigaraki and AFO.

At the Kamino site, Shoto and his allies are taken aback by Dabi’s increased flames, which he uses to mimic Shoto’s Phosphor. Aware that his body is reaching its breaking point, Dabi readies himself to face Endeavor. Despite Shoto’s attempts to halt him, Kurogiri appears and suggests transporting Dabi to where Endeavor is.

Despite the difficult weather conditions, Monoma remains determined to fulfill his role as the heroes continue their fight against Shigaraki in episode 15 of My Hero Academia season 7. However, their focus shifts to the Coffin in the Sky site, where Kurogiri suddenly appears with Present Mic.

At the Gunga Villa site, AFO announces that Spinner has successfully completed his mission, prompting Kurogiri to open his warp gate and allow Dabi and body doubles of Twice to enter. AFO reflects on how Toga has found a new sense of purpose after Twice’s death, but Hawks stresses the urgency of stopping the doubles before they overpower the heroes.

Season 7 Episode 15: Toga’s Final Move

In the final moments of the 15th episode of season 7 of My Hero Academia, the attention turns to Okuto Island, where Tsuyu and Ochako face off against Himiko Toga. Ochako rescues Tsuyu from Toga’s assault, and together they use their sensory abilities to counter her attempts to hide.

Despite Gang Orca and others successfully apprehending the majority of the villains and the Near High-End Nomu, Toga still attempts to turn the tide in the heroes’ favor by using Twice’s blood. However, Tsuyu foils her plan by breaking the container. To everyone’s surprise, Tsuyu reveals that the container was only a decoy and she actually drank Twice’s blood, unleashing Sad Man’s Parade as Kurogiri’s warp gate opens.

Toga intends to get rid of Hawks and other heroes by placing her clones throughout the battlefields. While entering the warp gate, Ochako attempts to halt her, reminding her that they haven’t had a chance to have their heart-to-heart discussion about love.

Despite feeling disappointed, Toga leaves, regretting not having the opportunity to have that conversation. The episode ends with Hawks realizing that Toga has utilized Twice’s blood, causing multiple clones to emerge, and AFO boldly declaring that the villains will emerge victorious.
