The highly-anticipated IMAX release of My Hero Academia: You’re Next film was officially announced by the sources affiliated with the project. To complement this announcement, a new visual and promotional video was released, featuring the breathtaking visuals and thrilling action scenes that the anime movie is renowned for.
The highly anticipated film, set to be released on August 2, 2024, guarantees an exciting experience. Furthermore, it has also revealed the actors who will portray the Gorrini Family, a formidable criminal syndicate and the main opposition in the movie.
Release Dates for the Movie
The official Twitter account for My Hero Academia: You’re Next recently announced that the film will be released in various formats, such as IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema, to accommodate different viewing preferences. After the movie’s release date was announced for Japan on August 2, 2024, My Hero Academia officials also revealed the release date for the United States.
The fourth installment of the film is scheduled to debut in American cinemas on October 11, 2024, only two months after its premiere in Japan. The highly anticipated movie, which will be offered in both subtitled and dubbed versions, was officially announced at the Anime Expo 2024 during the My Hero Academia event by Toho International. Toho’s president, Koji Ueda, revealed that the decision to release the film in the US was made in response to the massive popularity of Godzilla Minus One, generating even more excitement for its upcoming release.

The movie’s visual showcases illustrations of Deku, Dynamight, and Shoto taken directly from the key visual, with the horizon serving as the backdrop. The IMAX logo, which signifies the theatrical release, is also included alongside the horizon.

The recently released promotional video showcases fresh battle scenes from the anime movie, with Deku, Dynamight, and Shoto shown engaging in combat against Dark Might.

At the same time, the remaining Class 1A students and heroes are engaged in battling Dark Might’s army and the rest of the Gorrinni clan in order to protect the safety of the general population.
Voice Cast for the Movie
With the IMAX release of the anime movie approaching, fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival. The recent announcement of the Gorrini Family’s cast members has only added to the buzz and heightened anticipation for the movie’s premiere.

Michitake Kikuchi will be voicing Paul Gorrini, while Yuusuke Kobayashi will lend his voice to Simon Gorrini. Yuusuke Kobayashi has previously voiced characters such as Senkuu Ishigami in Dr. Stone and Natsuki Subaru in Re: Zero. Michitake Kikuchi is known for his roles as Yvon Jasna Delacroix in Overlord and Invar in Dungeon Meshi. Rounding out the cast, Masaki Terasoma will be voicing Bruno Gorrini. Terasoma has previously lent his voice to characters such as Kiroranke in Golden Kamuy and Kaburagi Masaya in Oshi no Ko.

Ken Uo, known for his previous voice roles as Kintarou Kataoka in Bullbuster and Korin in Dragon Ball Super, has been announced as the voice of Hugo Gorrini. Yuuki Ono, recognized for his portrayal of Kai Shion in Go! Go! Loser Ranger! and Saber in Fate/strange Fake, has been cast as Camille Gorrini. Additionally, Minako Kotobuki, acclaimed for her performances as Aya Kouda in Bungo Stray Dogs and Rickert in Berserk, will lend her voice to Deborah Gorrini.

The events of My Hero Academia Movie 4: You’re Next take place after the crucial events of the third season of the television anime. After All Might’s successful fight against All For One, the Symbol of Peace sadly lost his abilities, leading to a pivotal moment in the story. In the aftermath of the battle, All Might’s enigmatic words, “You’re Next,”directed towards Deku, marked the end of his era. However, the ambiguous statement left room for interpretation, prompting Dark Might to take action.
After the events of the Paranormal Liberation War, Japan is thrown into turmoil as society crumbles. In the midst of the chaos, a massive fortress emerges, swallowing entire cities and causing individuals to vanish without a trace. In order to confront this new threat and prevent further casualties, Izuku and his classmates from Class 1-A join forces with other heroes and aspiring heroes. They must also face off against Dark Might, a mysterious foe who suddenly appears and takes on the form of the legendary hero All Might.
