During My Hero Academia season 7 episode 13, Deku is traveling from Okuto Island to the Coffin in the Sky above U.A. Along the way, the First User cautions him about All For One, whose Quirks have become increasingly powerful. To speed up his journey, Deku receives aid from the American air fleet. Using Blackwhip to attach onto their crafts, he is able to reach his destination more quickly.

Upon reaching the battlefield, Deku lands a powerful blow on All For One, who quickly realizes that Deku has grown stronger. As Deku prepares to apologize for his tardiness, he is struck by the sight of injured and defeated heroes scattered around him, fully comprehending the impact of his delay.

Despite All For One viewing this situation as an opportunity, knowing that Deku’s movements become simplistic and predictable when he is angry, Lemillion intervenes to calm him down. He reminds Deku that everyone is still alive and has not lost hope. While All For One may see this optimism as a form of denial, Lemillion quotes All Might’s words about heroes risking their lives to turn their ideals into reality.

Deku composes himself and focuses his rage, readying himself to confront All For One. Prior to engaging, he inquires about Shigaraki’s presence within All For One and discovers that they have not completely fused into one entity. Lemillion informs him that provoking All For One causes him to become unstable and more susceptible to outbursts.

In episode 13 of My Hero Academia’s seventh season, Deku faces off against All For One. As All For One charges towards him, Deku utilizes a powerful combination of Blackwhip and Fa Jin, resulting in a boosted binding attack known as Blackchain. With this move, Deku is able to overpower All For One. However, the Second User warns Deku that they only have five minutes to defeat All For One using his Quirk. If they are unable to defeat him within this time frame, it could have disastrous consequences.

In a surprise move, Deku unveils his newest technique, Transmission, which allows him to instantly appear beneath All For One. He then proceeds to use a combination of Second Gear, Third Gear, and the powerful Top Gear to pummel All For One. Despite being launched into the air, All For One struggles to keep up with Deku’s incredible speed, as he utilizes his Quirk, Gearshift. By altering the speed of his attacks to 120 percent, Deku follows up with a Detroit Smash, leaving All For One reeling.

In My Hero Academia season 7 episode 13, it is revealed that Gearshift has progressed alongside One For All. The combination of One For All’s immense power and Gearshift’s abilities has the potential to revolutionize the world.

After unleashing a Detroit Smash: Quintuple, Deku is met with the realization that All For One is still standing. In response, All For One tries to launch a counterattack, but Deku quickly creates a smokescreen and surprises him by immobilizing him with Blackwhip. With the help of Fa Jin, Deku activates Gearshift: Overdrive and strikes All For One with incredible force, creating a gaping hole in the center of his body.
