Recap of My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 13
The episode, titled A Chain of Events, Across the Ages, opened with a recap of the events occurring on all battle fronts. It then depicted Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, utilizing his Blackwhip ability to swiftly navigate through a path created by American fighter jets. This allowed him to reach Shigaraki in time and deliver a powerful SMASH attack.
Despite Togata’s uncanny distraction, Deku was able to enter and witness the devastation caused by Shigaraki on his comrades, igniting a burning rage within the green-haired boy. However, Togata promptly reassured his friend that their comrades were still alive and that everything would eventually be okay.
As it was, All For One (AFO) and Shigaraki had fused together, but due to AFO’s longer lifespan, he was able to dominate Shigaraki’s body. Togata observed that a thoughtless comment from AFO had caused Shigaraki to briefly surface, indicating that he was still alive within.
Filled with anger, Shigaraki/AFO charged at Deku, determined to kill him. Deku was prepared and retaliated with his move, Blackchain, which combined Blackwhip and Fajin. Despite Shigaraki/AFO’s confidence, Deku turned the tables by surprising him with the Second User’s Transmission, delivering a series of powerful attacks including Second Gear, Third Gear, and Top Gear.
As the Villain was thrown into the air, Deku quickly positioned himself behind him and prepared to unleash a powerful attack with his Gearshift: Overdrive. As he descended towards the ground, Shigaraki/AFO caught a glimpse of the First and Second Users of One For All (OFA). The narrator then went on to explain how Gearshift, originally designed for smaller objects, had been amplified by the immense strength of OFA, allowing it to manipulate cells and potentially even alter the laws of the world.
Despite the Villain’s uncertainty, Deku utilized each of OFA’s abilities in succession to prepare for a powerful strike. With all of his accumulated strength, he successfully pierced through Shigaraki’s defenses and revealed the true identity within the Villain – AFO synergizing with OFA. Deku now faced an insurmountable dilemma – how to rescue someone who was beyond redemption, yet pleading for aid. The episode concluded with the emergence of a colossal Spinner, AFO’s final gambit for victory.
What to Anticipate in Season 7 Episode 14 of My Hero Academia
Up until now, the main attention has been on Shigaraki and AFO. Deku’s temporary removal from his designated battle area caused some confusion, but now that he is back in place, the tides seem to be turning for the Heroes. As we move into season 7 episode 14 of My Hero Academia, the focus will shift to other areas.
For the next episode of My Hero Academia, Shigaraki and AFO will be taking a backseat as the focus shifts to Spinner and the mutants.
