Comparing My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 2 to its Manga Chapters

The Ongoing Battle between Star and Stripe and TomurAFO

The second episode of season 7 of My Hero Academia covered chapters 332-334 of the manga series. Picking up where the previous episode left off, it showed the Tiamat arriving at the location of the intense battle between Star and Stripe and TomurAFO. In order to prevent further destruction, the hero had to release her previous New Order and quickly retrieve the nuclear missiles.

The second episode of My Hero Academia’s seventh season successfully replicated the visuals from the source material, with Star and Stripe’s movements appearing fluid and accurate. The addition of complementary animation enhanced the scene, resulting in a cinematic experience that was truly commendable and made the fight scene incredibly captivating. Every second of the fight was well worth it.

As she reached for the Tiamat, Star and Stripe’s air figure extended towards the missile in a scene that was exclusive to the anime. Just before grabbing the missile, the hero utilized New Order to establish a rule that allowed the Tiamat to be redirected from its intended path.

As TomurAFO broke free from his restraints, he swiftly leapt towards the hero in order to evade the incoming missiles. The aircrafts attempted to restrain the villain with their lasers, but the Tiamat was prepared to launch, and TomurAFO was struck by a nuclear missile with enough force to obliterate anyone.

The depiction of the sky and landscapes in this scene was immaculately nailed, giving a realistic look to the missile blast. However, the villain managed to evade the blast and appeared before Star and Stripe with a heavily injured body, only shown briefly. This scene could be considered the highlight of the episode, as it accurately portrayed TomurAFO’s creepy manga appearance.

New Order stolen by TomurAFO

The villain who had stolen New Order and Star and Stripe found amusement in watching the latter use her quirk to battle against other quirks. However, once her quirk entered the villain’s body, where other stolen quirks resided, New Order began to act uncontrollably and started eliminating every quirk in its path. From the outside, TomurAFO’s body appeared to burst like a firework, showcasing an improved and flawless detail.

Remembering the significant moments of her life, Star and Stripe’s decline as America’s top hero was witnessed by the pilots. At the same time, the New Order systematically destroyed TomurAFO’s quirks, causing the villain to urgently flee to a nearby city to transfer the quirk into another body.

Upon encountering another individual, New Order wasted no time in informing them that transferring it would lead to its demise. All for One said his goodbyes to the recently acquired quirk, knowing that New Order would be destroyed shortly after it was stolen. The animation of New Order within TomurAFO was deemed superior to that of the manga, thanks to its impressive sound effects and vibrant colors.
