The eighth episode of My Hero Academia season 7, titled “Two Flashfires,”covered chapters 350 to 352 of the manga. The episode began by exploring the backstory of Touya Todoroki and his transformation into the villain known as Dabi. It revealed his childhood desire for his father’s approval before he turned to a life of crime.

Despite being neglected, he experienced a deep sense of hurt and disappointment that ultimately led to the events at Sekoto Peak. Fortunately, he fell into a river and was not completely consumed by the flames. All For One (AFO) happened to come across his burned and dying body and took him in, using his abilities to heal whatever was salvageable.

Despite waking up three years later, he held onto his desire to impress his father and prove his abilities. Despite AFO recognizing the destructive nature within him, he chose to release him, knowing his fate was limited. Upon Touya’s return home, he was met with the same merciless father he had always known and hoped would have changed.

Despite their continuous fighting, Dabi persisted in his attempts to provoke Shoto. He continuously criticized Shoto for not living up to his potential, despite having the ideal environment and physique, and continued to unleash a relentless barrage of attacks.

In addition, Dabi employed Endeavor’s techniques such as Jetburn and Hell Spider. Nonetheless, Shoto had anticipated this and had developed his own move: Flashfire Fist Phosphor: Icebound Crash Coldflame’s Pale Blade.

Dabi was no match for the perfect weapon Shoto had become. As he faced his opponent, he couldn’t help but notice how much Shoto had grown. This only fueled his determination to defeat him. However, Shoto’s comrades came to his aid, giving him the opportunity to recover his cold flames before unleashing his ultimate move, the Great Glacial Aegir. With a powerful strike, Dabi was knocked down and the battle concluded with the entire battlefield frozen over.
