My Hero Academia season 7 opening theme contains potential spoilers for major plot twist

The highly anticipated My Hero Academia season 7 episode 1 aired on May 4, 2024, and fans are ecstatic as the United States of America has sent aid to combat the true villain, All for One, who has taken control of Tomura Shigaraki’s body to cause chaos.

The focus of the episode was on the beginning of the battle between Star and Stripe and TomurAFO. During this confrontation, the heroes demonstrated to the villain their unwavering determination to never give up.

Despite receiving positive feedback from fans, Bones studio could potentially face criticism for unintentionally spoiling part of the My Hero Academia fandom’s experience. The opening song for season 7 revealed the human form of Invisible Girl, a detail that may not have been revealed until later in the series. This could be seen as a spoiler for the majority of the fandom who enjoy the element of surprise in anime openings.

One of the Biggest Spoilers of My Hero Academia Season 7 was Revealed in its Opening

The opening song for season 7 of My Hero Academia was sung by Toru Kitajima, also known as TK from Ling Tosite Sigure. Fans were thrilled to hear this fresh track on the first episode of the sequel, but the situation quickly changed.

During the opening song at the 0:37 timestamp, fans were able to see Toru Hagakure, the Invisible Girl, in her visible form. Many fans were surprised by the production team’s decision to reveal her face in this way, which caused some to express their anger.

Toru Hagakure was first introduced in episode 5 of My Hero Academia as a student in Class 1-A. Her quirk, invisibility, has remained a mystery since then, as it has been in effect since her introduction, concealing her identity. Fans may potentially catch a glimpse of Hagakure during the U.A. Traitor arc in the latter half of season 7.

Despite being a supporting character in the title, Toru Hagakure has remained minimally involved in the plot of My Hero Academia to this day. Her quirk has become a recurring joke, with many not even realizing her presence.

Throughout the U.S.J. arc, Toru and Mashirao, both students from Class 1-A, joined forces when Shigaraki launched an attack on the training base. Despite Mashirao’s unawareness, Hagakure was by his side during the battle and continuously praised his strength. This can be seen as her contribution to the ongoing plot.

Concluding Remarks (Spoiler Alert!)

Although many fans may not be surprised by the introduction of Toru Hagakure, it could still have a significant impact on the storyline of the series. This character, who has been absent for a considerable amount of time, will now take on a central role as one of the main protagonists in the upcoming season 7 of My Hero Academia.

During the U.A. Traitor arc in the second half of the sequel, the invisible girl will finally uncover the identity of the traitor who has been continuously leaking information about U.A. High School and its staff to the villains. This will also lead to a glimpse of her face being revealed. However, since the production team had already disclosed her identity in the opening song, the impact of this reveal may be diminished in future episodes.
