The eighth episode, Two Flashfires, delved into Dabi’s backstory following the forest fire. After suffering severe burns, Dabi was saved by All for One and remained in a coma for three years. Upon awakening, he was disoriented and pleaded with those around him to allow him to return to his home.

All for One’s provocation brought back painful memories for Dabi, compelling him to remain with them. This ignited a desire for revenge in Dabi, who longed to see his father suffer for never acknowledging him as his son. As the battle raged on, Dabi unleashed his Flashfire Fist against Shoto.

Despite being struck by his brother’s attack, Shoto was able to rally and retaliate with a combined Freeze and Fire quirk technique known as Flashfire fist. However, Dabi was able to successfully counter it as well.

Despite Dabi intensifying his flames during the final stage of their battle, Endeavor’s side-kicks provided Shoto with protection. As a result, Shoto was able to charge towards the villain and deliver a punch, pleading with Dabi to cease his actions.
