My Hero Academia Season 7: Why All Might Brought in Star and Stripe

The finale of My Hero Academia Season 6 saw the arrival of Star and Stripe in Japan, at the behest of All Might. However, the reason behind All Might’s decision to bring Star and Stripe remains unclear.

The much-anticipated arrival of Season 7 of My Hero Academia is finally here. Continuing from the previous season’s cliffhanger, the premiere picks up where a certain American hero left off. The introduction of Star and Stripe not only foreshadows an upcoming battle, but also sparks curiosity about her role in the events to come.

As a child, Cathleen Bates and her family were caught in the midst of a villain attack. Fortunately, they were rescued by All Might, who was still a student at the time. Struck by All Might’s bravery, Cathleen was inspired to follow in his footsteps and become a hero herself. Today, she is known as America’s No. 1 Pro Hero, Star and Stripe.

All Might’s decision to bring Star and Stripe into My Hero Academia not only has the potential to change the tide of the upcoming war, but also serves a more immediate purpose as America’s top hero lends his aid to Japan.

Why did All Might bring in Star and Stripe in My Hero Academia?

All Might enlisted the help of Star and Stripe to prevent the completion of the vessel process between All For One and Tomura Shigaraki. With only three days remaining until the process is complete, All For One will gain complete control over Shigaraki’s body.

During Season 6, All Might came face to face with the Hero Killer Stain. The reformed villain shared with All Might the intel he had gathered on the Tartarus prison break. Upon further examination, the information appeared to be transmitted through radio waves and resembled a conversation. With this revelation, All Might and Tsukauchi were able to deduce that it would be three days until All For One fully possessed Shigaraki’s body.

Despite the imminent danger, he urged other nations to allocate their top Pro Heroes to confront Shigaraki and All For One. Although some No. 1 Heroes were hesitant to come due to their governments’ reluctance, America’s Star and Stripe took matters into her own hands and departed without waiting for anyone’s approval.

Despite the efforts of All Might and the other pro heroes, it became evident during the Paranormal Liberation Arc that Japan was not equipped to handle Shigaraki and the League of Villains. As a result, all major pro heroes, such as Hawks, Endeavor, Aizawa, and Best Jeanist, were left injured and unable to confront their enemy. Therefore, All Might was forced to seek assistance from other nations.

Star and Stripe, a devoted fan of All Might, is determined to eliminate the threat posed by Shigaraki and All For One. She is widely acknowledged as one of the most powerful Pro Heroes in the world, with her Quirk, New Order, being considered one of the most intricate and dominant abilities in the series.

In the upcoming season 7 of My Hero Academia, Star and Stripe are set to confront Tomura Shigaraki in an epic showdown. The intensity and visual spectacle of their battle will showcase Tomura’s immense strength and his mastery of the numerous Quirks at his disposal.

Despite having debuted several years ago, My Hero Academia is experiencing one of its most successful years yet. The highly anticipated seventh season of the anime is set to air in Spring 2024, alongside other highly anticipated releases such as Demon Slayer Season 4, Kaiju No 8, and Black Butler: Public School Arc. Additionally, fans can also look forward to the release of the anime movie, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, this year.
