The final chapter of My Hero Academia manga, chapter 430, was published on August 4, 2024. Despite varying opinions on the ending, fans have used this moment to show their appreciation for the series, which has played a significant role in making mainstream anime more popular since its initial release in 2014.

Despite having an incredibly devoted fanbase and being widely popular, the series had not yet achieved top rankings on the MANGA Plus platform. The platform’s top three spots were consistently held by Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Boruto, while One Piece and My Hero Academia manga typically occupied the fourth and fifth positions.

Despite rumors of the final chapter of My Hero Academia manga causing the MANGA Plus website to crash, the top three series continued to swap positions consistently, as has been the pattern. However, these reports have yet to be confirmed.

Despite being able to boost the series into the top three, the chapter was unable to surpass the current top rankings held by Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, with a noticeable difference. This achievement did push Boruto down to fourth place, however it was not enough to reach the peak of the rankings.

The conclusion of Chapter 430 marked the end of Kohei Horikoshi’s series, further widening the void left by the conclusion of Demon Slayer. As Jujutsu Kaisen and One Piece also near their respective finales, fans are growing more intrigued by which series will take over as the next staple in the shonen genre.
