My Hero Academia will begin its conclusion, in both the manga and the anime, and those involved already know how the story will end.
The fact that My Hero Academia is nearing its end is not surprising in itself. Deku had to face Tomura one day, to put an end to his destructive ideas in a final battle between the Alters of One For All and All For One.
The anime has prepared for the final saga, the manga is right in the middle of it. And the story written by Kōhei Horikoshi will soon be entitled to its season 7, expected for May 2024. For the occasion, the director of the first seasons was obviously brought up to speed on what awaits the heroes and villains of My Hero Academia.
My Hero Academia director knows how the show will end
On the occasion of the documentary on Crunchyroll for the 25th anniversary of the Bones studio, which is in charge of adapting the manga, director Kenji Nagasaki spoke about the end of My Hero Academia.
“The author of the manga, Kōhei Horikoshi, spoke to me about how he envisions the end of the story, and it looks exciting,” he admitted, before specifying: “I I myself can’t wait to discover what it will look like in anime.”
It goes without saying that the host could not say more, the story not being finished in either the manga or the anime. But his statement could very well suggest a real challenge for the animated series adaptation. Especially since the Bones studio has already demonstrated great skills in transcribing the feelings of the characters and the action scenes into animation.
Season 7 of My Hero Academia is expected to release on May 4, 2024.
