My Hero Academia is preparing to make its comeback, and we are entitled to the traditional wave of trailers and promotional material. The latest teaser has generated excitement among fans, notably by offering a first glimpse of the next opening.
Having become a true classic among shonen fans, My Hero Academia is certainly one of the most popular anime of recent years. It thus competes with other titles highly acclaimed by the public, like One Piece, Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen, to name a few.
Things are set to take things up a notch in the anime adaptation of My Hero Academia, as season 7 takes us deeper into the Final Act Saga, which is none other than the third and final saga of the manga Kohei Horikoshi. The big fight between Midoriya Izuku (aka Deku) and Tomura Shigaraki is inexorably drawing closer, with fans of the anime more than impatient to witness this clash.
An upcoming season which was recently revealed through a new trailer, allowing us to have a new glimpse of this seventh season, a particular element of which has already seduced fans of the Yuei High School.
Fans already under the spell of the opening of season 7 of My Hero Academia
While the new trailer released yesterday allows us to glimpse the all-out war that is looming between the heroes and the Paranormal Liberation Front, fans’ attention seems to have focused on one element of the trailer in particular, know the opening.
Indeed, we can hear the title “Tagatame” , performed by the artist TK from Ling tosite sigure, which will serve as the opening credits for this season 7.
A song that fans obviously liked, as evidenced by the messages that can be found about it on Reddit:
“The opening song rocks, and I can’t wait to hear the full version of the opening. I watched the trailer again just to listen to the song,” said a user on the social network. “They are absolutely going to have to release the long version of the opening because DAMN,” added another user.
My Hero Academia changes its credits each season, offering a new opening as well as a new ending in the middle of each season. These songs have contributed to the series being considered one of the best anime, managing to brilliantly transcribe all the energy found in Horikoshi’s work.
For example, the title “Peace Sign” by Kenshi Yonezu, the first opening of season 2, is a more catchy song, perfectly conveying the atmosphere of the sports festival. But the first ending of season 5, namely “Ashiato” (or “Footprints”) by The Peggies, refers to the rise of Shigaraki. “Tagatame” will surely reflect a darker energy for season 7, even if it’s only temporary.
In addition to the music, the performances of the seiyū (ie: voice acting) also got people talking. Indeed, if fans were able to feel the real tension between All Might, Deku and Shigaraki in this trailer, it is thanks to the performances of their performers, with one internet user having declared: “Hear all the voice actors giving their all is downright exciting.”
But while waiting for season 7 of My Hero Academia, which is scheduled for May 4, here is an overview of the other new features with the anime of the month not to be missed.
