After a decade since its serialization on July 7, 2014, My Hero Academia is now preparing for its grand finale. Along with this announcement, Horikoshi has also expressed his emotions towards the series’ ending in a message for the fans.
“Apologies for the two-week break! My schedule piled up… There are just five chapters left until the manga’s end. Some might think, ‘There’s still five chapters to go?!’ while others may think, ‘Just five chapters left?!’ but I’ll do my best to make sure both camps enjoy these last five chapters with Deku and the others! It was a rocky road, but I was able to draw Deku and his friends for nearly 10 years thanks to everyone who kept on reading. It was a dream. Thank you so much! Well, let’s meet again in Jump!”
Kohei Horikoshi
Horikoshi’s message also includes a hint of his return to Weekly Shonen Jump with a new manga series, stating “See you again in Jump!”This news is both exciting and bittersweet, as it leaves room for speculation about potential future adventures. While nothing is certain, this could be a promising indication of what is yet to come.
What to Expect From the Ending?
The last five installments of My Hero Academia are highly anticipated as they have the potential to tie up any loose ends and resolve any lingering questions in the Todoroki family’s storyline. Many speculate that Touya may have met his demise during the confrontation with his family, leaving Chapter 424 with Endeavour sitting despondently near him. Fans are eagerly awaiting answers and hoping that Touya will receive the conclusion he deserves.
As we transition into the aftermath of the war, there is a chance for us to gain insight into the experiences of those who survived – whether they were considered heroes, villains, or ordinary citizens. The potential for a proper conversation between Deku and Uraraka, which was previously disrupted, presents the opportunity for further plot development, especially if it involves the entire class 1-A.
In conclusion, the recent introduction of a mysterious character in the final chapter has piqued our interest. There is much speculation surrounding the identity of this child, with various theories suggesting it could be Tenko or a new antagonist. The upcoming chapters of the manga hold the answer to this mystery and we eagerly anticipate Horikoshi’s ability to deliver a satisfying conclusion in just five chapters. It is likely that this character’s arrival will have a significant impact on the plot, leaving us on the edge of our seats.
Although it will be tough to bid farewell to beloved characters after years of following their stories, all good things eventually come to an end. Ironically, there is a possibility that we may finally experience our long-awaited “This truly was my hero academia”moment.
