My Hero Academia: You’re Next film announces IMAX release with new trailer and visual, and more

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the official sources for My Hero Academia: You’re Next film announced its release in IMAX format along with a new visual and promotional video. The movie will be available in both larger and regular formats on the same day. Furthermore, the film revealed the cast members of the Gorini Family, a prominent criminal organization.

The events of My Hero Academia Movie 4: You’re Next take place after the conclusion of the third season of the television anime. After All Might defeats All For One and loses his powers, he utters the words “You’re Next.”This prompts Dark Might to immediately spring into action.

The official X account of My Hero Academia: You’re Next announced on Thursday, July 11, 2024, that the film will be released in IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, and Dolby Cinema formats.

The film will be released on Friday, August 2, 2024, in both the mentioned large formats and regular formats.

The visual for this film includes illustrations of Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki taken directly from the key visual and positioned in front of the horizon. The IMAX logo is also included, indicating that the movie will be released in this large format.

The new promotional video showcases fresh battle scenes from the anime movie, featuring Deku, Bakugo, and Shoto fighting against Dark Might. Meanwhile, the rest of Class 1A can be seen engaged in combat with Dark Might’s footsoldiers, working to protect the safety of the general public.

New Cast Members Announced for the Gorini Family

Furthermore, not only was the IMAX release of the film announced, but the anime movie also revealed the names of the cast members portraying the Gorini Family.

Ken Uo will be voicing Hugo Gorini, having previously lent his voice to Kintarou Kataoka in Bullbuster and Korin in Dragon Ball Super. Though the anime has introduced a new character named Gilles Gorini, no cast member has been announced for this character in the movie.

Yuuki Ono and Minako Kotobuki will be voicing Camille Gorini and Deborah Gorini, respectively. In the past, Yuuki Ono has lent his voice to characters such as Kai Shion in Go! Go! Loser Ranger! and Saber in Fate/strange Fake. Similarly, Minako Kotobuki has previously voiced Aya Kouda in Bungo Stray Dogs and Rickert in Berserk.

Yuusuke Kobayashi will voice Paul Gorini, while Michitake Kikuchi will voice Simon Gorini. Kobayashi has previously lent his voice to characters such as Natsuki Subaru in Re:Zero and Senkuu Ishigami in Dr. Stone. Kikuchi, on the other hand, has previously voiced Invar in Dungeon Meshi and Yvon Jasna Delacroix in Overlord.

Furthermore, Masaki Terasoma will lend his voice to Bruno Gorini. Terasoma has previously portrayed characters such as Kaburagi Masaya in Oshi no Ko, Kiroranke in Golden Kamuy, and Yuugo Tennouji in Steins;Gate 0.
