My Wife Has No Emotion: Release Date and Additional Cast Announced

On Thursday, May 2, 2024, the official website and X (previously known as Twitter) account for My Wife Has No Emotion anime revealed a new key visual and announced that the series will debut on July 2, 2024. The staff also introduced two new voice actors for the anime.

My Wife Has No Emotion is an adaptation of the romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Jiro Sugiura and produced by Tezuka Productions. The manga was launched by the author in Kadokawa’s Comic Flapper Magazine in 2019 and has currently released seven tankobon volumes.

Upcoming Release: My Wife Has No Emotion Anime

As previously stated, the release date and broadcast details for the anime My Wife Has No Emotion were announced by the official staff on Thursday. The show is scheduled to air every Tuesday at 11 pm JST on Tokyo MX, starting from July 2, 2024.

In addition to Tokyo MX, the anime will also air on MBS and BS Asahi channels, although at different times. Information regarding the international release of the anime has not been announced yet. Furthermore, the number of episodes in the series has not been disclosed by the staff.

In addition to announcing the release date, the official team behind the anime My Wife Has No Emotion also revealed a new key visual. The image showcases Mina and Takuma, with Takuma happily embracing his housekeeping robot and “wife,”Mina.

In addition to Mina and Takuma, the visual also introduces the robot, Mamoru, for the first time. Without a doubt, the illustration evokes a feeling of warmth and heightens excitement for the upcoming release of the anime.

The production team behind My Wife Has No Emotion has announced the addition of two new cast members for the show. Yoshino Aoyama, known for her role as Hitori Goto (aka Bocchi) in Bocchi the Rock!, will play the character of Akari Kosugi, Takuma’s younger sister.

Yu Serizawa, who voices Super Mina, the ultimate version of Mina from the household robot series, joins her. The staff describes Super Mina as a character who strives for perfection in everything she does.

The anime’s official site has received comments from the voice actors as well. Serizawa-san and Aoyama-san expressed their enthusiasm for being part of the series as the voice cast. The seiyuus (voice actors) also mentioned that they connected with their characters on a personal level.

It is important to mention that the newly announced voice actors will be joining the existing cast members, including Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Takuma and Konomi Inagaki as Mina.

Staff

Fumihiro Yoshimura, known for his work on popular anime such as Kumi no Tulip, has been chosen as the director for the upcoming anime My Wife Has No Emotion at Tezuka Productions. The series’ scripts will be overseen by Mitsutaka Hirota, while character design will be handled by Zenjiro Ukelele.

Adapted from Jiro Sugiura’s manga, the anime depicts the life of Takuma, a solitary office employee whose routine consists of commuting to work and back home. Seeking a respite from household tasks, he purchases an advanced robot, Mina, to maintain his living space.

One day, Takuma playfully suggests that Mina should become his wife. However, the robot takes his words to heart and the two start spending more time together, even going on a picnic. Over time, Takuma finds himself falling in love with Mina-chan, despite her being a robot.
