Before their contributions to Warzone and the broader Call of Duty franchise, Raven Software created several other titles, including a horror first-person shooter (FPS) that has recently been relisted on the Xbox Store, generating excitement among fans.
Raven Software has been in the game development industry since the 1990s, debuting with Black Crypt in 1992. Before working on Call of Duty, they released numerous titles, but one notable FPS, Singularity, has remained relatively obscure despite positive reviews.
Released just months before the first Black Ops, which Raven Software also worked on, Singularity has gradually faded into the background, and few Call of Duty enthusiasts are fully aware of its existence.
The game launched in Summer 2010 as a survival horror FPS, featuring both single-player and two multiplayer modes where ‘Soldiers’ battled against ‘Creatures’.
Now, 14 years later, Singularity has reappeared on the Xbox Games Store, although it is currently only accessible on PC.

Singularity garnered positive feedback, achieving a Metacritic score of 76, with some critics drawing comparisons to iconic titles like Bioshock. The news has sparked enthusiasm among fans, many of whom believe it suggests a potential port of the game.
Responses online have praised the relisting, with comments highlighting Singularity as “truly goated” and “such an underrated game.”
Speculation also arose regarding the possibility of the game being added to Xbox Game Pass soon, which could serve as an entertaining option for players awaiting the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on October 25.
Microsoft has yet to make any statements regarding this new listing, but given their acquisition of Activision, it’s likely that more classic games may join the Xbox Games Store in the near future.
